ABOUT THE AUTHOR

A.R. Moore served as a Special Agent with the State Department’s Diplomatic Security Service (DSS) for twenty-four years and spent much of his career overseas, including missions to Australia, Lebanon, Sri Lanka, and Haiti. Domestically, Mr. Moore worked in a broad range of Washington-based assignments, including stints with the DSS Anti-terrorism Assistance Program (ATA), the Office of Intelligence and Threat Analysis (ITA), Passport Fraud Investigations (DS/PF), and the Office of International Programs. Prior to 9/11, he served as a Pearson Fellow for the State Department with the Congressional House Government Reform Subcommittee on National Security and finished his DSS career as chief of the San Diego Office. During his career, Moore received numerous awards for meritorious service. Originally from Mobile, Alabama, Moore was awarded a B.A. in Criminal Justice and a M.S. in Political Science from Auburn University. An avowed cabinologist, the author spends as much time as possible writing, traveling, and playing outdoors.
